OEMs and Tier 1 customers keep asking suppliers for more: more certifications, more evidence, tighter deadlines, across quality, information security, cybersecurity and functional safety. Most teams have to deliver all of it with the people they already have.
Our automotive management systems consulting gives you a clear path: we design, implement and maintain systems that fit how your plant actually works, and get you ready for the audit your customer is waiting for.
Management Systems Built for Automotive Requirements
In the automotive industry, a management system is a condition for doing business. OEMs and Tier 1 customers require certified quality systems, information security assessments and, increasingly, evidence of cybersecurity and functional safety processes before awarding or maintaining business.
Requirements keep growing. Organizations must align IATF 16949 with TISAX®, ISO/SAE 21434, customer-specific requirements and new versions of existing standards, often across several sites and with limited internal resources. The challenge is not only achieving certification, but building a system that stays effective between audits, supports production and gives customers confidence.
Management System Implementation
A management system must work inside the organization, not alongside it. We design and implement systems that align processes, responsibilities and documentation with the requirements of the standard and with the way the organization actually operates.
Our work covers the definition of scope and processes, risk-based planning, a documentation structure proportionate to the size of the organization and the integration of automotive requirements into existing processes. We also build integrated systems that combine quality, information security, cybersecurity and safety requirements, including multi-site organizations with clear corporate and site responsibilities. The result is a system that internal teams can operate, maintain and improve on their own.
Gap & Readiness Assessments
Before starting a project or facing an audit, organizations need to know exactly where they stand. Our assessments compare current processes and evidence with the requirements of the applicable standard and with customer expectations.
We carry out gap assessments against IATF 16949, TISAX® (VDA ISA), ISO/SAE 21434 and other automotive frameworks, as well as readiness reviews before certification audits and ahead of transitions to new versions of standards. Each assessment delivers prioritized findings, a risk evaluation and a realistic action plan with resource and timeline estimates aligned with the organization’s target dates.
Compliance Assessments
Compliance in the automotive industry goes beyond the standard itself. Customers add their own requirements, questionnaires and self-assessments, and regulations add obligations that affect products and processes.
We assess organizations against customer-specific requirements, support them with OEM questionnaires and self-assessments, and verify the regulatory and contractual requirements that affect the management system. For suppliers working with several customers, we consolidate these requirements into a single view, so the organization knows what each customer actually expects before its next customer audit.
Internal Audits
An effective internal audit provides insight, not only conformity. We carry out internal audits that evaluate system performance, identify risk areas and prepare the organization for external verification.
We perform system, process and product audits in line with automotive requirements, audits of specific areas such as information security, cybersecurity or production, and complete outsourced internal audit programs. Every audit ends with clear, actionable findings and the follow-up of corrective actions until their effectiveness is verified.
Certification Readiness & Assistance
Certification requires preparation, discipline and confidence. We support organizations in the final stages before the audit, during the audit and afterwards, through pre-audit reviews, mock audits and the preparation of teams, process owners and evidence.
After the audit, we support nonconformity analysis, root cause analysis and corrective action plans, as well as preparation for surveillance and recertification audits and the ongoing maintenance of the system. Ariol Automotive prepares and supports organizations; certification is granted by accredited certification bodies, and TISAX® assessments are performed by ENX-approved audit providers.
How We Work
Every project is built around the organization’s starting point, its customers and its target dates. We begin by assessing the current system and customer requirements, and then define a roadmap with phases, responsibilities and milestones, planned back from the target certification date.
During implementation we work alongside internal teams, and internal audits and readiness reviews confirm that the system is effective before the external audit. Once certified, we help organizations maintain and improve the system, and prepare for surveillance audits and new versions of the standards.
Standards We Work With
Our management system services are delivered against the standards and requirements that govern the automotive supply chain: IATF 16949, TISAX® and VDA ISA, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, ISO 24089 and the customer-specific requirements of each OEM.
Many organizations need to meet several of these frameworks at the same time. We align them within a single management system to avoid duplicated processes, documentation and audits.
You have questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does a management system implementation include?
It covers the whole system, not just the paperwork: defining the scope, mapping your real processes, risk-based planning, and documentation sized to your operation, not to a template. We work alongside your team so the system runs in daily production and doesn't sit in a folder. If you have several sites, we integrate them into one system instead of building one per plant.
2. What is the difference between a gap assessment and an internal audit?
A gap assessment comes first: it compares your current processes with the standard and with what your customers expect, and gives you prioritised findings and a realistic action plan. An internal audit comes later: it checks whether the system actually works, finds risk areas and prepares you for external verification. One tells you where to start; the other tells you whether you are ready.
3. Can you help us meet the requirements of several OEMs at once?
Yes. Each OEM sends its own requirements, questionnaires and self-assessments, and for a supplier with several customers they pile up. Our compliance assessments gather them into a single view: what applies to you, where you already comply and what is missing. You answer once, with evidence, instead of repeating the work for every customer.
4. How do you prepare us for the certification audit?
We support you before, during and after: pre-audit reviews, mock audits, and root-cause analysis of any nonconformity, with follow-up until the corrective action is verified as effective. We do not issue the certificate; that is done by an accredited certification body (and, for TISAX®, by an audit provider approved by ENX). Our job is that you walk into that audit with the evidence in order.
